According to the latest report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, the two countries showing the highest growth in arms sales in the world are Turkey and Israel. In the report, it was emphasized that out of 100 companies engaged in arms sales, three belong to Israel and two to Turkey. If in 2002 Turkish military production companies sold military equipment worth only 1 billion dollars, in 2021 this figure will exceed 10 billion dollars.
Turkey has expanded its sales market. An example of this is the purchase of 77 "Atak" helicopters by Turkey even in the distant Philippines. It is interesting that Arab countries have been the main buyers of Israeli companies in recent years. However, in the past years, all Arab countries condemned Israel for the Palestinian issue. Now a group of Arab countries have established diplomatic relations with Israel and are buying modern weapons from this country. For example, the United Arab Emirates preferred Israel's "Barak" air defense systems. The military equipment that Azerbaijan receives from Turkey and Israel is based on strategic alliance and strategic partnership with these two countries. The superior quality of the military equipment we received showed itself in the Second Karabakh War. The report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute shows that even those who are not strategic partners with Turkey and Israel have increased their interest in the military equipment of these two countries.
