When will Blinken come to Azerbaijan?

After the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Azerbaijan, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's visit to the South Caucasus region is not an exception. Blinken has intensified his mediation between Azerbaijan and Armenia in recent months. A three-way meeting between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held at the initiative of Blinken a few days ago at the Munich Security Conference is proof of this.

Sergey Lavrov will come to Baku on February 27. A day later, Anthony Blinken will visit Kazakhstan. Blinken will participate in the meeting of foreign ministers in Astana in the format of 5 + 1 (meeting format between the USA and the countries of Central Asia). In this meeting, issues of development of cooperation between the USA and Central Asian countries will be discussed. The US has become active along the perimeter of Russia. If Anthony Blinken travels this distance from his country and goes on a tour of Central Asia, his plane can land in the countries of the South Caucasus on the way back. By visiting Azerbaijan and Armenia, Blinken praised America's support in the formation of peace and cooperation in the region, and sent the message to Moscow that "we are also in the region".
