Who will represent Karabakh Armenians?

In his speech at the Munich Security Conference, President Ilham Aliyev said that official Baku is ready for dialogue with the Armenian community of Karabakh, but Armenians born in the region should represent the community in possible negotiations, "There will be no contact with Ruben Vardanyan, who was exported from Russia." Ruben Vardanyan is under double pressure. His activity in Karabakh also creates difficulties for the Armenians of the region. Therefore, there is a possibility that Ruben Vardanyan will leave the region. In such a case, who or who can have a dialogue with the official Baku Armenian community? The "leader" of the separatists, Araik Arutunyan, was born in Karabakh, but dialogue with him is also impossible, because Azerbaijan opened a criminal case against this separatist and admitted his role in the bombing of Ganja.

Former "minister of foreign affairs" of the separatists, currently "advisor" of Araik Arutunya, David Babayan said that they will decide who will represent them in the negotiations with official Baku. According to David Babayan, the person they will identify should be someone who knows Azerbaijan well as well as Karabakh. From the words of David Babayan, it can be understood that he and his "leader" also admit that Ruben Vadranyan has no opportunity to contact Baku. However, it is also impossible for official Baku to negotiate with "the person to be determined by the separatists". We should look for people in the Armenian community whose brains are not completely poisoned and who are ready to accept the existing realities. However, even if we find them with difficulty, we should know that they will be under the control of armed separatists and will not be able to deviate from the "instructions". When Karabakh started separatism in 1988, there were a few Armenians who understood that it was wrong, but they drowned out their voices and mysteriously disappeared after a while. The West needs an image that dialogue exists. We do not object, but our condition is clear: if Armenians want to live in Karabakh in safe conditions, they must accept the laws of Azerbaijan, otherwise they will have to leave the region.
